The Ancient Path

I think we too easily forget the basics.

I sometimes find myself overwhelmed and tempted to despair, and as a pastor I often encounter believers who are overwhelmed, overcome by circumstances, and despairing.

A question I need to ask more often is: What is your prayer life like? Are you in the presence of the Lord? 

For millennia, believers have come to Abba Father, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, and found mercy, supernatural strength, abundant provision, abiding peace and perspective. As a believer I need to constantly look to Jesus, and as a pastor I need to constantly point people back to him. 

The essentials of the ancient faith will always prevail.
