Government knows far more, is far more compassionate, and is not burdened by the folly of a 'religious belief system'.
They know how to spend your money. They know what you should think and say. And they know much better how to raise your kids in order that they become, goog, complient little citizens that let Govt. call all the shots.
This is the natural outcome of politically 'left' thinking.
Didn't we have a revolution some years ago so that perfect strangers in Europe wouldn't be calling shots here in the Colonies?
We have no idea how much we have already lost, so losing more may escape us as well. Hey, but if I have my iPod and my Cable TV my nice house in a cul-de-sac and food in my belly, what do I care?
I didn't take it badly, bro... no offense taken at all!
I'm glad to dialogue with a fire-breathing Lutheran! I had been under the impression that virtually the whole denomination had gone liberal, and I'm happy to have an honest conversation.
Obviously we're worlds apart on the sacraments (as you call them), but my guess is we're in substantial agreement on the heart of the Gospel. So I'm looking forward to what we have to learn from each other, even if we never end up agreeing.
I had many a knock-down, drag-out conversation with Chris and Aaron back in my early blogging days on politics, and I think all of us emerged *ahem* better off for it.

Are you kidding me?

What else should we expect?
We have this coming.
So, how do you feel about that?
Lol... I'm with you.

Ha! That is so true, Steve.
You are pretty sharp with this politics stuff!
If only you had a bit better grasp of the sacraments! :D
That last comment of mine wasn't fair. Sorry, Steve.

Hopefully the same thing can happen again!
