Parents are responsible for raising our children.

Put as a community member, citizen, pastor, neighbor, etc. I feel that the role of community and churches should be much more than 15%. The reason why is the fact that so many other parents don't take their parenting responsibility seriously. If we the community do not act, then we will continue a downward spiral.

For our own children's sake we need to take responsibility for the village that surrounds us. They go to school with and play with other children. If we don't help parent in the absence of it, then our children suffer as well.

It takes a village.KGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11282358447700779685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5858095098873962176.post-37343466395507618112008-04-11T16:09:00.000-07:002008-04-11T16:09:00.000-07:00I think that's a really good distribution. I could...I think that's a really good distribution. I couldn't agree more.

What my kids are like is NOT MTV's fault, not the Democrats' fault, and not George Bush's fault (though it seems like he is blamed for everything else).

I get so sick of Christians complaining about Hollywood. Who buys the garbage for the kids to consume, for cryin' out loud? Who pays the stinkin' cable bill?Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15872089652770490896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5858095098873962176.post-59067807437425323612008-04-11T16:00:00.000-07:002008-04-11T16:00:00.000-07:00You hit a nerve for me.I place responsibility in t...You hit a nerve for me.

I place responsibility in this order:

1. PARENTS (75%)
2. Extended Family & Faith Communities (15%)
3. Schools & Government (10%)
4. Society, Media, etc. (0%)

We have a responsibility to raise and protect our children. When we don't, we see the negative consequences. American parents, faith Communities, schools, and even our Government has a lot of repenting and repairing to do.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5858095098873962176.post-71469273569045336352008-04-11T15:51:00.000-07:002008-04-11T15:51:00.000-07:00Dang. It is sometimes downright depressing.

I am reading Kozol's "The Shame of The Nation," and it it becoming more and more clear why America is such a mess. The deeper you drill, the more you find 2 core cancers:

1. Systematic, Institutional racism
2. Anti-God (of the Bible) beliefs and values

It is time for a revolutionary revival. God help us all.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
